Charles Law Apparatus
With a glass U tube with a bulb & tap at
the upper end of one limb, other limb open. From the bottom of the U is
an outlet tube which passes through a bung & terminates into a tap.
The bulb has a capacity of 7 cm³ & the stem beneath is graduated 3
x 0.1 cm³ allowing for expansion over a range of 100ºC. The apparatus
can be supported by a single clamp & only 20 cm³ of mercury is
required.
